Although the premier product of the Company is the Protectus Safety Syringe, the Company is adapting its safety technology to develop other unique and patentable safety medical (percutaneous) devices for other significant applications. These include: (a) a manually operated safety syringe for use in certain international markets, as well as specific applications within the United States, (b) a Safety Dental Syringe, (c) a Safety IV Catheter, and (d) a Safety Phlebotomy device. Initial design drawings for the Safety Dental Syringe have been completed and drawings for the other applications are well into the design phase. Additionally, a new patent including several improvement claims for the safety syringe family of products has been filed (August 14, 2008), giving the products an additional twenty years of intellectual property protection in the United States and facilitating the filing of new foreign patents for worldwide protection
